Cryptography Specialist

A leading financial institution is seeking a Cryptography Specialist responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining encryption solutions to safeguard data. Your primary responsibilities will include designing encryption strategies for data at rest, in transit, and in use. You will evaluate and select encryption algorithms and tools, manage encryption keys and certificates, and work with stakeholders on Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).

You will:

• Develop a strategy and roadmap with stakeholders for implementing data encryption across critical systems.
• Improve and ensure compliance of key management systems with standards and best practices.
• Ensure the encryption strategy covers all data leakage channels.
• Develop a Data Security governance framework with stakeholder support.
• Create detailed procedure and process documentation for Data Security.
• Leverage existing encryption tools and technologies like AES, RSA, and PKI.
• Integrate encryption solutions seamlessly in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Enhance overall data security and compliance with industry standards, preventing data breaches and ensuring regulatory adherence.

Your role will also involve conducting encryption audits, ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations, collaborating with IT and security teams to integrate encryption solutions, and providing training and support to staff on encryption best practices. Additionally, you will stay informed about the latest developments in encryption technologies and cybersecurity threats.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with encryption technologies and tools (e.g., AES, RSA, SSL/TLS, PKI).
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic protocols and security frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of data in use encryption technologies.
• Experience with key management systems and practices.

Skills:

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data encryption (e.g., FIPS, GDPR).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Salary: Annual gross salary ranging from €72,000 to €80,000.
• Freelance: Rate per Hour excl. BTW €80 - €90
• Work Environment: Hybrid model, with 3 days a week in the office.
• Contract Type: Long-term position with visa sponsorship available; no relocation support.
