Cyber Security Expert

In the role of Senior Cyber Security Expert, you will be instrumental in enhancing the security frameworks across our client's supply chain operations. Your day-to-day activities will revolve around managing and optimizing security practices and relationships with IT vendors to ensure compliance and performance according to contractual obligations.

You'll conduct thorough Security Risk Assessments on vendors, focusing on software security, application security, and vulnerability management to identify risks that matter most. Your efforts will translate these risks into business contexts, aiding stakeholders in addressing and mitigating security challenges effectively.

This position will have you working closely with various IT departments, business colleagues, and software suppliers, enhancing your impact on the organization's security posture by providing continuous improvements and strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute Vendor Security Risk Assessments and manage follow-up actions to ensure that security risks are effectively identified and managed.
• Review the quality of assurance reports from third parties and manage IT security aspects of contracts with vendors.
• Collaborate with second-line functions such as legal, compliance, and procurement to facilitate contractual changes and improve the security services provided by third parties.
• Address security-related questions, take initiatives, and escalate issues timely to maintain high security standards.
• Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity trends and developments, integrating this knowledge into the team's strategy and operations.

Expected Outcomes:

• Lead efforts to enhance security service offerings, with a specific focus on SaaS and COTS suppliers, aiming to significantly improve the way of working within the team based on the expected DORA impact.

• Education & Experience:
  • A university degree in a relevant field coupled with 8-12 years of experience in IT, preferably with a focus on supply chain security.
  • Extensive experience in software security, application security, and vulnerability management.
• Skills:
  • Expertise in security processes, technology architectures, network security, and application security.
  • Exceptional skills in stakeholder management and the ability to communicate complex security risks in business terms.
  • Proactive and self-organized professional who thrives on continuous improvement and delivering results.

• Salary: A competitive annual gross salary ranging from €71,500 to €78,000.
• Contract Type: Long-term position available as Detachering or freelance, extending until at least May 2025.
• Visa Sponsorship: Available for the right candidate, although no relocation support is provided.
• Work Environment: The role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, primarily based on-site to foster effective teamwork and communication.
