The Challenge
We’re looking for a TypeScript Engineer to join a feature team at our client in the banking sector. You’ll help build and improve modern digital products, with a focus on backend development, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
Working in an agile environment, you’ll collaborate with skilled engineers and product teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality software.
Your Job
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Build serverless solutions on AWS, working with services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
- Develop REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Ensure code quality through testing, clean code, and security best practices.
- Take ownership of the applications you build, including participating in on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers and other stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
Your expertise
- Extensive experience with JavaScript and Node.js, preferably using TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, serverless architecture, and microservices.
- Experience with Docker, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with React and modern frontend technologies.
- Python and Terraform experience are a plus.
- You value clean code, continuous improvement, and thorough testing.
- You’re proactive, pragmatic, and comfortable working in an agile team.
- You communicate effectively and enjoy taking ownership of your work.
